My name is Lucy Fisher. I'm a British translator from the county of Somerset in southwest England: a region famous for its cider and rainy climate, helping me feel at home in Gijón, in northern Spain, where I've lived since 2015. I've been living in Spain for over 7 years in total, using Spanish constantly in my daily life.

In 2018 I finished a Master's in Specialised Translation, with a legal specialisation, for which I have an average grade of 9.6/10. I also have Master's degrees in Social Anthropology and Environmental Studies, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Hispanic Studies.

I've worked as a professional translator since 2016 and I've been proofreading academic texts for four years. I have over three years' postgraduate academic experience, including experience in doctoral research in social anthropology, through which I have developed an excellent academic writing style. Before starting out as a translator, my career included five years as an English teacher and four years of administrative experience in British government departments and public bodies.

I have translated a wide variety of texts: from official certificates, CVs, judgments, lawsuits, corporate policy documents, contracts, marketing texts for websites and commercial e-mails (in a range of fields such as tourism, construction, the food industry and footwear, to name just a few), texts including search engine optimisation content (SEO), tecnical documents and corporate presentations, amongst others.
